We take you by speedboat to one of our favourite turtle spots in the crystal-clear waters of Cyprus, where you'll have the chance to snorkel alongside wild sea turtles in their natural habitat. An unforgettable adventure for families, couples, and nature lovers alike.
Your Turtle Snorkeling Adventure
Our Turtle Safari starts right from our base in Protaras. We hop aboard our speedboat and head to a special location where we frequently encounter sea turtles — one of Cyprus's most beloved marine creatures. Once anchored, you'll have around 30 minutes in the water to snorkel and, hopefully, swim alongside these gentle giants up close.
To make sure the experience stays relaxed, personal, and respectful to nature, we keep group sizes to a maximum of 9 people per trip. When the group is full, the total trip duration is around 45 minutes up to one hour.
Will We See Turtles?
We'd love to promise you a turtle sighting every time — but these are wild animals, and we always respect that! What we can tell you is that we've been incredibly lucky lately, and our chances of encountering sea turtles are excellent. Our team knows the best spots around Protaras, and we do everything we can to make the safari a success. 🐢✨
Respectful Turtle Watching — No Touch, No Feed
Sea turtles in Cyprus are a protected species, and their wellbeing comes first. On all our turtle safaris, we have a strict no-touch, no-feeding policy. We observe the turtles calmly and quietly, keeping a respectful distance so they can continue their natural behaviour undisturbed. Our goal is to leave no impact — just memories.
Snorkel Gear & What to Bring
Feel free to bring your own snorkel mask and fins if you have them — fins are especially handy! If not, no worries. You can rent a full snorkel set from our dive centre for just €10 (regular price €15), and you can use it for up to 4 hours — perfect if you plan to explore more after the safari.
We recommend bringing a towel, sun protection, and a sense of adventure.

Where does the Turtle Safari depart from?
The safari departs directly from Green Bay Watersports in Protaras, Cyprus. We jump on our speedboat and head straight to our favourite turtle spots in the area.
How long does the Turtle Safari last?
You'll have approximately 30 minutes in the water. If the group is full (max 9 people), the total trip duration is around one hour.
Is it guaranteed that we will see turtles?
We can never guarantee wildlife sightings, as these are wild sea turtles. However, we've been extremely lucky lately and the chances of seeing turtles are excellent — our team knows exactly where to look!
Do I need to bring my own snorkel equipment?
You're welcome to bring your own gear (fins are a great idea!). If you don't have any, we offer full snorkel sets for rent at €10 per person (normally €15), usable for up to 4 hours.
Can I touch or feed the turtles?
No — and we're very strict about this. Sea turtles in Cyprus are a protected species. We observe them with respect, keep a safe distance, and never touch or feed them. Their natural behaviour always comes first.
Is the Turtle Safari suitable for children?
Yes! The turtle safari is a wonderful experience for families. Basic swimming ability and comfort in the water is recommended. Our friendly team will be with you throughout the entire experience.
How much does the Turtle Safari cost?
The safari costs €35 per person. Snorkel gear rental is available for an additional €10 (full set, valid for up to 4 hours).
